Continuing its role in supporting and serving Gulf economic issues, following the success of the Strongest 10 Bahraini Banks initiative, and highlighting the positive contributions of the banking sector to the gross domestic product in each Gulf country, Al Bilad Media Foundation launched the list of the Strongest 30 Gulf Banks. An independent specialized evaluation committee composed of distinguished banking and economic figures was formed to establish the professional standards for the evaluation process, identify the banks to be included in the competition, and based on the evaluation process data.

:Objectives of the initiative

1. Highlighting the advanced level reached by Gulf banks and their contribution to the national economy in each Gulf country.

2. Providing economic and financial data for researchers and stakeholders in the Gulf financial and banking sector.

3. Providing a reference and guide for Gulf banks' data and contact information.

4. Encouraging competition in the Gulf banking sector and raising awareness of modern issues and trends relevant to banks and the banking sector, such as digitization and sustainability, which are included in the evaluation process of participating banks.
